Who We Are
In 1989, Miss Linda co-purchased and began directing and teaching in her own Montessori school after having taught Montessori preschool for the previous 8 years. The small school in Menlo Park quickly grew and expanded as her reputation as a fun, loving and caring teacher became known throughout the neighborhood. In 2003, her daughter, Louanne, "officially" joined the staff and became the office adminstrator, taking care of the day-to-day operations. Shortly thereafter, Miss Linda and Miss Louanne decided to open their own school closer to their homes in Mountain View and Los Altos, together...
Miss Linda has been working in the childcare field for over 35 years. Prior to becoming a preschool teacher, she was a nurse as well as a home daycare provider. She holds degrees in both nursing and early childhood education as well as her Montessori Credential. Having raised three children, she now spends her free time with her 13 grandchildren. Her love for children and her infectious joy have made her a favorite teacher for hundreds of children in the Bay Area.
Miss Louanne, daughter of Miss Linda, previously spent 11 years working for her mother at her Menlo Park preschool before embarking on the new adventure of opening a new school. While raising her four children, it was the perfect place to both work and spend time watching her children learn, grow and explore the world around them. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Miss Louanne has been working in education for the last 18 years. She holds a degree in Sociology as well as her early childhood education units.
At Mountain View-Los Altos Montessori, our staff is made up of caring, well-educated and loving teachers who look forward to coming to work everyday. They have their early childhood education credentials, and many have their Montessori teaching credentials. They are also certified in First Aid and CPR.
